Synthetic rattan materials
Synthetic rattan materials is a superior-quality polyethylene-based fiber characterized by high flexibility and tensile strength. The plastic extrusion process creates a synthetic fiber which is completely colored throughout, smudge-proof and resistant to temperature variations. In addition, it is extremely durable, as evidenced by its UV and weather-resistance. Synthetic rattan materials is also especially suitable for weaving, producing beautiful and elegant rattan outdoor furniture. In addition, synthetic rattan materials is suitable for many other exterior and interior applications.
Unlike natural rattan and ordinary plastic cord, synthetic rattan has unique attributes and performance capabilities:

Synthetic rattan products
Synthetic rattan comes in three different types: polyrod, polypeel, and polystrap.
Polyrod, see photo above, is a solid round and profiled polyethylene fiber. It is available in different diameters as well as in surface effects. Some of the most common dimensions for polyrod are 2.0mm, 2.2mm, 2.7mm, 3.0mm, and 4.0mm.Polypeel is a semi-circular, profiled polyethylene fiber. Polypeel is available in three standard profiles: Flat Oval Peel (semi-circular), Half Moon Peel (crescent), and Oval-Oval Peel (almond-shaped). Some of the most common dimensions for polypeel are 4.0mm, 5.0mm, 6.0mm, 7.0mm, 8.0mm, and 12.0mm.
Polystrap is a flat, rectangular-shaped polyethylene fiber. Some of the most common dimensions for polystrap are 6.0mm, 7.0mm, 8.0mm, 10.0mm, and 12.0mm.
